Privacy
HTCUT collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting.
What stays on your Mac
Your projects, media, transcripts, cut-outs, renders and exports. Transcription, cut-outs, voice isolation, retouching and rendering all run on your Mac.
When HTCUT goes online
- Optional model downloads. Some features download a model the first time you use them (for example Segment Anything 2, the speech aligner, Robust Video Matting and the transcription model). These come from their publishers’ servers, such as GitHub, Meta, PyTorch and Hugging Face. Your media is never uploaded.
- Services you set up yourself. If you point HTCUT at a media search service, it talks to the address you entered.
- Review links. Sharing a review copy serves it on your local network only. Nothing is published to the internet.
Claude Code
HTCUT works without Claude Code. If you use Claude Code with HTCUT, what you send to Claude is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, not by HTCUT.
